I have a Victorian home in New Orleans, clapboard siding, 15 ft. ceilings, wood floors, many windows, that will probably need a new AC unit. Square footage of this unit is about 2500 and it is an up/down duplex (750 sq. feet downstairs that is made up of a kitchen, bedroom and bathroom with 8 ft. ceilings) and about 1750 sq. feet upstairs where the ceilings are high. I need to determine the tonnage of the unit I will need. I will also need to replace the AC unit in a smaller, 800 sq. foot apartment with 7 ft. ceilings. This apartment is on slab, carpeted, with few windows. Thanks, Michael, Miami. email me at: langloismj@bellsouth.net
